Frequently Asked Questions
How do I know if my child or a loved one needs therapy?
Most parents have great intuition and usually have a sense that their child might be behind in their speech/language/social skills. Often times, a teacher or health care provider will notice the signs, as they are very familiar with age specific skills. They might recommend an evaluation to rule out issues and address specific concerns. The age old "they'll grow out of it" sentiment is not helpful to a child that is struggling with their communication skills. Our office provides free screening to determine if further intervention is warranted.
Do you provide other services?
Yes! We provide accent modification training and will soon provide Epidemic Answers health coaching
Do you accept insurance?
We do not accept insurance at this time. Most speech therapy services that are addressing developmental delays are not covered by insurance. Our therapy rates are generally slightly above what a insurance co-pay would be and you don't have to drive to an office to see your therapist. Please contact us for further information.
How are your services different?
We travel to you, making therapy as convenient as possible. Our mobile van can be used at any time for therapy if there is not a quiet space at home or within a facility. We also have a therapy dog on board, if requested, to calm nerves and motivate children. We are always striving to offer the most evidence based therapeutic interventions to our clients.
